IQ_ViewAdPlace: From the developer version to the store version
IQ_ViewAdPlace can now be officially installed via the Chrome Web Store. Only this store version will continue to be maintained and updated.
On many computers, the old extension runs alongside or instead of the Store version as a local developer version (loaded manually from a folder). This can easily lead to confusion: two entries, different versions or unexpected behaviour. You should therefore remove the developer version and use only the Store version.
How to identify the developer version
Open Chrome, type "chrome://extensions" into the address bar, and press Enter.
If "Developer Mode" / "developer Mode" is turned off, switch it on in the top-right corner – you will then see full details for each extension.
Look for the extension "IQ_ViewAdPlace". In the case of a developer version, it will often state that it has been loaded from a folder, or there will be a note such as "Unpacked extension" / "Unpacked".
Remove developer version
Stay on Chrome://extensions.
Find the IQ_ViewAdPlace entries. The old version is called "Q_ViewAdPlace" and the new version (from 3.0.0 onwards) is called "Creative Identifier & View Ad Places".
In the developer version, click on "Remove" and confirm.
Please check that there is no second "IQ_ViewAdPlace" present as an extracted extension.
Install the Store version
(if not already available)
Open the installation link: Chrome Web Store.
Click on "Add to Chrome" and confirm.
Go back to chrome://extensions and check that "Creative Identifier & View Ad Places" appears without the “unpacked folder” icon and, ideally, looks like the screenshot below.

"Microsoft Edge": Go to edge://extensions – the procedure is the same (enable developer mode, remove the extracted extension, and install it from the Store or the Store link you have provided).
If something isn't working as expected after removal: restart your browser and check that only the version you want is active at chrome://extensions.
